Escobedontheroad blog begins

If you are here, you likely follow us on another platform or found us by accident lol so WELCOME to our travel blog and life! Lemme introduce us formally: We are Chelle and Griselda Escobedo :D hence ESCOBEDOntheroad :p *name came to Chelle one night after a 15 hour shift and an hour drive home trying to come up with our Instagram handle lol "Bed on the road" which was already part of our last name :D

This is Chelle writing this blog today so excuse my A D D brain but it is who I am lol!

Chelle & Griselda met in 2019 via POF and hit it off and like true lesbians moved in almost immediately and got married in April of 2019 4/20 lol

I (Chelle) lived in a bus at that time on a friends land and had a job I loved doing graphics and office business managing for a company that ended up firing me for cutting my hair :/. While I was hurt and angry I know everything happens for a reason. I had more flexibility in my life after that incident. I loved bus life but due to that job, I had been more stationery in my bus life. My son also lived with me in the bus and we loved it and I had NO intention of ever living in a house again lol then I met Griselda who at the time had just moved into a home she was sharing with her sister and other roommates and lots of animals. At this time my 2 other boys were off to college and boot camp. So boom here is this magical creature (Griselda) that I had prayed for **BEGGED the universe and the Lord for, CRIED for for YEARS** So, when she asked us to move in I was only hesitant because of my bus (so my plan was to move my bus closer to her and hope she would stay in it with us lol but to be honest my bus was 33' and kinda scary to drive and it was VERY minimal no running water or power (basically a metal tent) but I loved it and the simple life it gave us. Any way, we moved into the house and did eventually move the bus over to the back yard and sold that bus :( *for many reasons, size, cost of mechanics altho it was a great bus but the cost to repair it IF anything happened would be more than I could do especially at the time being unemployed, the tires were costly to replace and scary to repair and bc when living in the bus, my son and I only used half of the bus. I was unemployed and needed the money to survive so sold it to a family to live their dreams. It was also hurt my heart seeing it in the back yard rotting away :( ). Griselda was worth the change and I did have hopes and dreams to have another one day ;)

Griselda will have to write her version one day lol I can only write from my perspective.

I eventually found work and did all the "normal" things and we were working a good bit between the two of us and had LOTS of changes in our lives in the 2 years we have been married.

Let us know if you want to know more of ANYTHING :D we are pretty much an open book. And I needed to start somewhere on our blog lol :D HAVE A GREAT DAY!
